Software development & product consultancy

We build and ship software for companies that can't afford to get it wrong.

An independent, senior engineering practice working with technology companies and founder-led brands on long-term retainers — from first architecture decision through to a shipped product and the years of iteration that follow.

Services

Four things we do, and we do them properly.

Most engagements combine two or three of these — often the engineering and the brand work together. We don't staff projects with juniors and we don't hand off: the person you scope the work with is the person who does it.

Product engineering

Full-stack web and application development — front end, back end, APIs and the infrastructure underneath. Built to be handed over, extended and maintained by someone other than us.

Architecture & advisory

System design, platform and stack selection, third-party and API integration — plus roadmap, scope and build-versus-buy calls, and the unglamorous work of making an existing codebase fast, observable and safe to change.

Brand & creative

Brand identity and visual direction, design systems, content and social — for the same clients whose products we build, and for founders who need the story and the software to say the same thing.

Our own SaaS products

We design, build and license our own subscription software, sold to customers internationally. It keeps our tooling sharp and our opinions about product earned rather than borrowed.

How we work

Retainers, not projects.

Fixed-scope projects tend to end the week before the product actually needs attention. We work on a monthly retainer with a small number of clients at a time.

  1. Scope

A short paid discovery — we map what exists, what's actually being asked for, and the smallest thing worth building first. You get a written plan whether or not you continue with us.

  2. Build

Weekly cycles, shipping to a staging environment you can see at any time. No status decks: you get working software and a short written update.

  3. Ship

Release, instrument, watch the numbers. We stay on through the first weeks of real traffic, which is when most of the interesting problems appear.

  4. Iterate

The retainer continues as an ongoing engineering partnership — new features, performance work, and an honest opinion when the answer is to build less.

Who we work with

A handful of clients, for years at a time.

We work internationally and remotely, with clients across Israel, the United States and Europe. Almost all of our work arrives through referral, which is the arrangement we prefer.

  • Venture-backed startups building their first or second product
  • Small and mid-sized software companies without an in-house senior engineer
  • Founder-led digital brands with a product that has outgrown its platform
  • Teams inheriting a codebase they didn't write and can't safely change
  • Brands that need the product and the story built by the same people
  • Companies that need one experienced team, not an agency
About

Small on purpose.

Founded by an engineer and product builder with more than a decade of experience shipping consumer and B2B software — most recently inside one of the largest web platform companies in the world, and before that across a series of startups, alongside a partner whose background is brand, content and creative direction. The practice is deliberately small: a senior core, a trusted bench of specialists, and a limited number of clients at any one time.

We are a fully remote company. Our work is done wherever the work is best done, and our clients are spread across several time zones — which means we've built the habits that make distributed work actually function: written decisions, short cycles, and no meeting that could have been a paragraph.

Where we're going: a practice that pairs a few deep, long-term client relationships with a growing portfolio of our own software products — so that over time more of what we do is building things we own, without ever getting big enough to lose the quality of the work.
